Berastagi Town and Simalem Resort
One of tourist destination in North Sumatera that can be reached within 2 hrs from Kota Medan. The town offers a unique ethnical and cultural sighting, mainly from Karonese and Bataknese. Samosir Island
The volcanic island is located at the center of Danau Toba that can be reached 6 hrs through land transportation to Parapat, a town harbour in Lake Toba followed with 2 hrs shipping transit to the island. Samosir is a popular tourist destination due to its historical background and ethnic houses (Rumah Adat), mainly focused at Tuktuk with modern accomodation and facilities offered. Participants will experience the beautiful panoramic view of Danau Toba along with cultural environment as the island is the centre of Toba Bataknese.
