The 4th International Conference on Natural Resources and Sustainable Development (ICNRSD) 2026

DIGITAL LEARNING CENTRE BUILDING

February 5, 2026 – February 6, 2026

Sustainable management of natural resources has become a defining challenge of the twenty-first century. Climate change, deforestation, and ecosystem degradation caused by unsustainable exploitation of natural assets have threatened biodiversity and human well-being worldwide. Industrial expansion, mining, and intensive agriculture have accelerated environmental deterioration, especially in developing regions, including Indonesia. This situation calls for a transformation in how societies understand, utilize, and protect natural resources. A sustainable development approach must balance short-term economic needs with long-term environmental resilience, ensuring that ecosystems remain capable of supporting life for generations to come. However, the gap between policy, research, and practice in achieving sustainable resource management remains wide. Bridging this gap requires multidisciplinary collaboration among scientists, practitioners, and policymakers to design innovative, science-based strategies that restore ecosystems and prevent further degradation. In this context, the 4th International Conference on Natural Resources and Sustainable Development (4th ICNRSD 2026) raises the theme “Sustainable Management of Natural Resources: Tackling Environmental Degradation and Strengthening Ecosystem Resilience”. The conference emphasizes knowledge integration, policy innovation, and cross-sector collaboration aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDGs 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17. Through open and evidence-based dialogue, the 4th ICNRSD 2026 serves as a scientific platform to exchange ideas, generate actionable recommendations, and foster resilience in natural systems. Universities, as centers of knowledge creation and dissemination, play a critical role in translating sustainability science into education, research, and community practices that secure a balanced and sustainable future for all. The scope of the 4th ICNRSD 2026 covers various important topics that aim to address significant challenges related to sustainable development, environmental damage, and natural resource management.
