USU Conference Systems

Indonesia, especially North Sumatera Province, is the place of natural resources that have become the place for conducting research activities whose benefits can be used sustainably. However, if the natural resources are not maintained properly, the destruction will occur even to the point of extinction. Furthermore, this condition is worsened by the existence of global warming, habitat fragmentation, and habitat extinctions that lead to the extinction of certain species. To anticipate this condition, studies and deep collaborations from all fields of knowledge are essential, in the level of both national and international, which focus on the effort to properly utilize and maintain the sustainability of natural resources. One of the agenda to accommodate this purpose is by creating an international scientific forum involving many related parties. Postgraduate Program as a part of academia civitas in Universitas Sumatera Utara is expected to be able to participate in improving the capacity and capability in the field of research and foremost publication internationally, specifically in the fields of Environmental Issues, Regional Development, Economic, Management, Natural and Heritage Conservation and Defence, to increase the natural material relevance and derivative product as well as the science and technology utilization in production sector in order to grow national economy and improve the society welfare. Therefore, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Postgraduate Program will hold “The 2nd International Conference on Natural Resources and Sustainable Development (ICNRSD)”. This event is hoped to bridge the communication and become a sharing platform for related researchers regarding the natural resources management, regional development, and economic management and their linkages, as well as stakeholders as an effort to together synergize knowledge with human needs in life and create a better environment.
