Call for Papers

The main scope of this conference is to invite the experts to discuss the projects and applications on sustainable development in agriculture, plantation and livestock for international food security. The conference will address the following relevant topics, but not limited to

  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Plant Science (Agronomy and Plantation, Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Integrated Pest Management and Soil Science)
  • Agricultural Economics
  • Animal Science
  • Food Science and Technology
  • Marine and Fisheries Science

PROGRAM PRESENTATIONS

  • Allocated time for “Oral Presentations” will be no longer than 10 minutes. You will get 5 minutes for questioning and answering. All together you will be given 15 minutes.
  • A technical assistant will be on hand for equipment problems and operations if required.
  • Ensure that you are available at least 30 minutes before the session starts on the days of the conference.
  • All presentations must run on the Windows operating system – the Laptop and Multimedia Projector will be available. The recommended software to be used is Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Presentations MUST be submitted to the IT technician 15 minutes in advance to your talk. Having the presentation files loaded in advance will help to ensure that the sessions run according to the schedule without any delays.
  • Send your PowerPoint presentation to the conference official email 7 days before the conference.
  • Bring one extra-copy of your presentation to the conference on a USB media storage device. This copy is to be used as a backup by you and the session technician if needed. Make sure the USB media storage device and presentation file is properly labeled with your name, presentation day, and time.For better presentation,
  • Rehearse your presentation before the conference days.
  • Do consider the time factor and address major points.
  • Use visual aids, such as slides attract and hold an audience’s attention and help to reinforce what you say as well as helping you keep on track with your presentation. You need to keep these visuals – and your remarks – simple and easy to read and understand.

Author Guidelines

The proceedings of the International Conference on Computing and Applied Informatics 2016 will be published in the Open Access Journal of Earth and Environment Sciences (EES), which is part of IOP Conference Series. All papers published in IOP Conference Series are fully citable and upon publication will be free to download in perpetuity.

PUBLICATION LICENCE FOR OPEN ACCESS PROCEEDINGS PAPERS. IOP Conference Series operates a publishing licence, under which authors retain copyright of their papers and they no longer need to sign and submit copyright assignment forms. Any author who wishes to publish in IOP Conference Series must agree to the terms of the licence and by submitting a paper for publication it is assumed all authors of the paper agree, in full, to the terms of the licence.

Where to send your paper

Manuscripts, prepared according to the author guidelines, should be submitted to AEFS online submission system by June 23rd, 2017.

Preparing your paper

IOP Conference Series uses author-supplied PDFs for all online and print publication. Authors are asked to prepare their papers using Microsoft Word or LaTeX, according to the journal guidelines and templates, and then convert these files to PDF. Full instructions on preparing your paper, along with templates, can be found on the IOP Conference Series website.

It is important to ensure that when you submit your paper, it is in its final form ready for publication, and has been thoroughly proofread. IOP do not copyedit papers and will not send out author proofs prior to publication. Please note: post-publication changes are not usually permitted, unless there are exceptional circumstances, so please ensure your paper has been checked for errors.

What you need to provide

  • The PDF file of your paper: when preparing your paper ensure that you follow the author guidelines. When preparing your paper please check that:
    • Paper size is European A4.
    • Margins are at least 25mm all round.
    • The paper includes the author name and affiliation (full address including country).
    • There are no page numbers, or headers and footers, within the paper.
    • The PDF is free of formatting errors (e.g. corrupt equations, missing or poor resolution figures), since conversion from Word to PDF can introduce formatting errors.
    • Text is single spaced, not double spaced.
    • The PDF file is editable and not password protected.
    • All pages are portrait (landscape pages should be rotated).
    • Reference lists are checked for accuracy. References can only be linked via CrossRef if they are correct and complete.
    • Figures are placed within the text, not collected at the end of the document.
    • A thorough proof read is conducted to check standard of English and ensure wording is clear and concise.
    • Ensure that your paper includes an abstract.
  • Any multimedia files you wish to publish online
    • MSE encourages authors to submit multimedia files to enhance the online versions of published research articles.

Page limit

The page limit for regular (full) is six (6) pages. Please use the extra page in full papers for addressing the comments of the reviewers, make your figures large enough to be legible, and to comply with all formatting requirements. Please note that extra pages will be charged USD 20 per page.

 

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

AEFS is intolerant to any act of plagiarism. Authors are expected to submit original work with proper citation to the work of others. Should any plagiarism is detected in a work, editors has the right to do this following actions:

  1. Reject the submitted article
  2. Report the violation to affiliated institution(s)
  3. Provide the information regarding the violation to any academic institution
  4. Publish the information regarding the violation to public
